KCPS is now enrolling for the 2022-23 school year.

Enrollment for the 2022-23 school year has begun! Families can now enroll their child for preschool, kindergarten or apply for new admittance to one of nine KCPS Signature Schools. Kindergarten is offered at all Neighborhood and Signature elementary schools.

KCPS is continuing its commitment to early education by offering quality, free preschool to fit our families’ needs. The KCPS Preschool Program serves children ages three and four in one of 12 different locations. In addition, KCPS has partnered with Operation Breakthrough and Emmanuel Family and Child Development Center to offer additional free Pre-K seats. Plus, KCPS provides quality early education at two Head Start schools – Woodland Early Learning and Richardson Early Learning.

New this year, families can apply online for Kansas City Virtual Academy (KCVA), KCPS’ online virtual school for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade, and the new Evening Academy, a high school program designed for students looking for a flexible pathway toward graduation.
