East High School opened in 1925 and operated as a high school until the late 1990s. During the 2007-2008 school year East Elementary School was housed at East High School serving grades K-8. The following year, East was reestablished as a high school. Today, East serves 1100 students in grades 7-12. We have 31 different spoken languages and a very diverse population. Our diversity sets us apart from other schools in the district. Our most recent addition was the merging of East and R.J. Delano during the 2011-2012 school year. We challenge our students to be excellent leaders and academic achievers. Our motto here at East is "High Expectations, NO Excuses!"
