The mission of James School is to ensure that all children will increase academic achievement through the implementation of research based teaching methodologies, the use of standard based instruction and the integration of 21st century technology.

  • Shamrock Shake Down

    As a part of PBIS, students who completed a Shamrock Map for the month of March, got to participate in a celebration. These students followed the rules and displayed great citizenship by being respectful, responsible and safe. They were treated to an ice cream party. Keep up the good work!

  • James Student Speaks at School Board Meeting

    Courtney Skelton, a 6th grader at James Elementary spoke before the School Board. She asked the Board not demolish Thatcher Elementary. Courtney's church has been very involved in trying to save Thatcher. Nice job Courtney!

  • Top 10 Percent School

    James Elementary was recognized as a Top 10 Percent School for 2012-2013. This award was given for consistent use of the Imagine Learning Program.

  • "Taking Our Knowledge Straight to College"

    In accordance with the College Initiative, student from every grade level will visit a college university in the 2013-2014 school year. Here, students in the first grade are visiting the University of Missouri Kansas City campus.

  • Reading Buddies at Work

    Many classrooms have partnered up with peers from other classes to read aloud books of choice. Here, a Fourth grade and a Kindergarten class have come together for Reading Buddies
