  • We are on the RISE!

James is one of the highest performing schools in the Kansas City Mo. School District. We scored the highest in Math and 4th grade scored highest in Comm. Arts. The success is due to the outstanding skills of the staff and commitment of parents and families.

Two teachers have been awarded classroom materials from the Donors Choose program. Congratulations goes out to Ms. Dana Chambers (Kdg.) and Ms. Shannon Sharp (5th) who identified what they needed in their classrooms in order to be successful.

Some students were selected to receive Leap Frog Workstations in a drawing. They were able to take them home and use them to further their academic learning skills. Congratulations to the winners!

It is important that we dismiss all students safely. Students are to be signed out from their teacher in the designated areas. Parents will be allowed to enter the building at 3:10 pm to pick up children. This allows us to ensure that all students are safely in their designated areas (K-1, gym and 2-6, auditorium). Parents will not be allowed to go to the classrooms to get children. We appreciate your cooperation.
