The Kansas City Youth Court is currently seeking students who are interested in serving the community, gaining insight to the legal system, and helping their peers reconcile with the community by serving as a Youth Attorney for the Kansas City Youth Court (KCYC). If you are lacking on volunteer hours, there is a Free Health Screening Clinic going on at Bartle Hall this coming Saturday April 18. You could get as many as 10-12 hours if they work all day - they are still looking for volunteers. Kansas City Public Schools receive federal funds for Title I. As a parent of a student in a Title I school, and in accordance with the ESEA Section 1111(h) (6) PARENTS RIGHT-TO-KNOW, you have the right to know the professional qualifications of the classroom teachers who instruct your child. Federal law allows you to ask for certain information about your child’s classroom teachers, and requires the school to give you this information in a timely manner.
