Bryant Smith and Alijae Richardson for being accepted into the KC Bizfest 2015 Competition. Bryant and Alijae were selected from over 140 applicants across the Greater Kansas City Area. The Bizfest program will take place February 11-14, 2015 at the Shawnee Mission School District, Indian Creek Technology Center in Overland Park, Kansas. During those four days, Bryant and Alijae will learn how to develop a feasible business plan, present their plan, and develop themselves professionally as well as learn business management skills, network with peers and interact with community leaders.
This summer, 54 intellectually curious high school sophomores ("rising juniors") will participate in one of three challenging all-expense paid six-week college-level seminars on topics related to Critical Black and Ethnic Studies. The seminars will be held at Cornell University, Indiana University, and the University of Michigan.

We are proud of our scholar, Rafeal Edwin, for his participation in the First Tee Greater Kansas City Annual Partnership Reception. Rafael was selected to have his own table at the event. He called it “Discovery Zone”. His display shared his experience with the First Tee Organization and the impact it has had on helping him set and attain his goals in life.”
