Guidance and Counseling Services
Preparing College, Career and Workforce Ready Graduates!
The main objective of the district's counseling staff is to counsel, coordinate, and consult. The district's comprehensive guidance program provides important benefits to all students, at all grade levels, by addressing their personal, social, academic, and career development needs. Counselors are trained to provide students guidance in seeking solutions to questions and problems related to their classes, testing, graduation requirements, career plans, college entrance, and many other issues regarding education.
Each student will be assigned a counselor who will monitor the student's academic experience. The school counselor will work with students in analyzing their abilities, interests, skills, and achievements. They will assist students on their educational and career learning and personal/social development. The school counselors will also assist students in making the transition from grade to grade and school to school, or school to work.
Guidance and Counseling Curriculum--curriculum geared toward educational vocational development, career awareness and exploration, and knowledge of self and others.
