KCPS received proposal for Bryant in November 2012. During the time that we have been evaluating the proposals, KCPS kicked off a facility planning effort.  At this time, KCPS has determined that it is prudent to complete the facility planning process before giving further consideration to the Bryant proposals.  As such, we will not be taking any further action on the Bryant proposals before the end of the calendar year.  If the decision is made that KCPS will dispose of the site, we will contact the three entities that submitted proposals and determine if they are still interested in the site.  If so, KCPS will hold a proposal presentation meeting in order to obtain your feedback on the proposals.

their interest in pursuing a partnership to open an International High School at Southwest High School.  KCPS is soliciting community feedback this summer prior to a board vote on whether to pursue the partnership.  While the Administration continues to support the sale of Westport High School to Foutch proposal, it is delaying action at this time in order to ensure adequate time to provide additional information to the community as many stakeholders anticipated that Academie Lafayette would locate in Westport High School as a Foutch tenant.
