Instructional Technology

All personnel of KCPS use technology as a seamless tool for learning and presenting. In preparing our students for the work force of the 21st century, teachers within the district will have to teach 21st century skills, and their learning environments will have to change to accommodate those skills. Professional development will focus on turning up the H.E.A.T. (Higher-order thinking skills, Engage students, Authentic work, and using Technology) and move from the teacher/lecture environment to a student-directed, project-based, academically rigorous environment.
