The KCPS Board recognizes that career education is a developmental process designed to help students prepare for life roles in the family, the community, occupations and avocations. The Board also recognizes that career education gives students the opportunity to examine attitudes, interests, aptitudes and abilities as they relate to the various career pathways, and enables them to make appropriate decisions regarding further education and future endeavors.

Mission

To prepare students for a wide-range of careers by offering programs that incorporate rigorous academic and technical standards. Career and Technical Education programs will provide students critical workforce skills such as problem solving, communication, and teamwork to ensure career and college success for all students.
