The Kansas City Public Schools is committed to providing a safe environment for students to learn. The district requires all prospective volunteers to undergo a criminal background check. Except as allowed by law, the district will only use this information for internal purposes.
 
Please follow these three easy steps to register as a volunteer with the Kansas City Public Schools:
  1. Register with the Family Care Safety Registry online. A one-time registration fee of $11 applies. (Stuck? Click here for instructions.)
  2. Complete a volunteer application and return it to

  3. Wait for notification of approval from Kansas City Public Schools.
