• Missouri Option Program

    The Missouri Option Program is a State Board of Education approved program which permits full-time, public school enrolled students who are at least 17 years of age and at risk of dropping out or not graduating with their cohort group, the opportunity to earn a standard high school diploma. Missouri Option students who successfully pass the HiSet exam and complete all other program requirements are eligible to receive a high school diploma. The Missouri Option Program is an effective means to retain students, lower drop-out rates and improve college and career readiness.

    Program Location

    The Missouri Option Program is located at Success Academy – Anderson on the 2nd Floor, 1601 Forest Ave., Kansas City, MO 64108

    Student Regular Full Day Schedule

    Morning session: 7:30 am – 10:30 am (Lunch 10:30 to 11:00)

    Discipline Issues

    Discipline issues will be handled by the Principal and/or Associate Principal. If discipline issues become disruptive to the positive learning environment, the student will be removed from The Missouri Option Program.

    Inclement Weather

    If a decision is made by the Kansas City Public Schools District Office to close school due to bad weather or for other emergency reasons, the district official in charge of this decision will contact local radio and television stations of such closings.

    Transportation and Parking Information

    Students who are enrolled in the Missouri Option Program have access to a school bus. All students who drive to and from school must park in the lot across the street from Manual Tech (1215 E. Truman Ave, Kansas City, MO 64106).
