Celebrate Our 2021 School Teachers of the Year

The 2021 Kansas City Public Schools Teacher of the Year Recognition Program honors the educators who structure their classrooms to increase performance and provide exceptional experiences, no matter what.

KCPS Board of Education (BOE)

Families who applied for kindergarten, pre-K or a Signature School by the initial deadline of Monday, Feb. 15, received emails Wednesday, March 3 with offers to their first, second or third choice school.

About Nate Hogan

Nate is a life-long resident of the Kansas City metro. Growing up, Nate was a mobile student, attending eight different schools and had a significantly challenging home life. As a result, Nate understands at a personal level the emotional and social support needs of KCPS kids. Nate is a senior executive in the technology industry and currently leads the healthcare division at Tyler Technologies, a government technology company. Nate joins the school board with over 24 years of professional experience, with many of those years working for large corporations in a leadership capacity. Nate is a strong believer in being civically engaged and has served on several nonprofit boards in Kansas City. Nate is married with two surviving sons.
