About Tanesha Ford

Tanesha Nooner Ford is a systems-level leader and Nonprofit Executive who has spent her career assisting young people in pursuit of higher education. Her professional journey includes leadership in Student Affairs at Muskingum University and Lehigh University prior to relocating back home to Kansas City.

She spent fifteen years at Kauffman Scholars, a postsecondary success and scholarship program, where she successfully recalibrated and sunsetted the twenty-year grant program in her role as Executive Director. Tanesha recently leaned into her wealth of knowledge to launch High Definition Consulting, a firm that empowers nonprofit organizations through capacity building, interim leadership, and executive coaching.

Tanesha is passionate about using her gifts to support and impact others, hence her service as an elected official and Vice-Chair to the Board and Finance Committee Chair for Kansas City Public Schools. She has also served in a governance capacity with Girls on the Run Kansas City, The Skillbuilders Fund and Centurions Alumni Board, recently concluding her tenure as President.

She is actively engaged with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated (Psi Kappa Zeta Chapter) and the Jackson County (MO) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. She is also a proud member of City of Truth Church. Tanesha is also a marathoner completing her first 26.2 mile race in 2020.

Of all her commitments, her most important priority and greatest joy is being wife to David and mother to her son (Dawson) and daughter (Harper).
