Elected in 2025, Tricia McGhee is a lifelong advocate for educational equity and currently serves as Director of Communications for the Latinx Education Collaborative and Revolución Educativa.

A proud KCPS parent and bilingual (English/Spanish) communicator, Tricia believes in the wisdom of families, the power of advocacy, and the vital role of educators who create the conditions for students to shine. She is especially committed to advancing access to high-quality special education services and has been a consistent voice for students with disabilities at the local, state, and federal levels.

Her work centers on uplifting community voice, fostering authentic partnerships, and ensuring every student has the opportunity to show their brilliance.
