Please Join Us for Parent Teacher Conferences

We are excited to host our parent teacher conferences this school year from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14. We understand that this is a very interesting time as we are still dealing with the pandemic. Your health and safety remains a priority for the district. With this in mind, we will be offering both in-person and virtual options for parent teacher conferences. Details around the logistics of these conferences for each campus will be communicated out to families by school administrators and/or your child’s teacher.

We look forward to engaging with you as an essential partner in your child’s educational journey with KCPS.

There's Still Time to Apply for Summer Food Aid

Every student who attended KCPS during the 2020-21 school year is eligible to receive $375 of summer food aid, regardless of family income. This is money to help offset the cost of summer meals. Families already enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) have already received their benefits and do not need to reapply.

The Missouri Department of Social Services has reopened the Summer Pandemic-EBT application until October 10. This extension provides a short window for eligible families to apply and receive the $375 summer benefit retroactively. This benefit is possible because of federal coronavirus relief dollars.

The application for Missouri’s Summer P-EBT benefit is available in English and in Spanish. More information can be found on the Missouri Department of Social Services’ P-EBT website.

KCPS families who need assistance applying for P-EBT or SNAP should call 816-418-FOOD (3663).

If your child was not enrolled in KCPS last school year, they may have attended another community eligibility school. The full list of Missouri schools participating is on the Food Research and Action Center website.
