Postsecondary and Student Success

Kansas City Public Schools is excited to launch the Department of Postsecondary Access and Student Success which will provide postsecondary opportunities for all students FREE of charge. Our mission is “to provide comprehensive guidance and support services that prepare KCPS students for successful transitions to higher education, career pathways, and lifelong learning” through:

College Access Programming: Simplifying higher education navigation.
Early College Academy: Allowing high school students to earn college credits on college campuses.
Mentoring Programs: Connecting students with caring adults for guidance and support.
Student Experience Initiatives: Offering enriching experiences to broaden students' horizons.
Advanced Academics: Providing Dual Credit and Advanced Placement courses to prepare students academically.

We are committed to creating pathways, educating our community, and fostering collaboration with families, educators, and community organizations. Our goal is to inspire and empower students to dream big and achieve their potential. We celebrate every success and aim to build a legacy that contributes to a brighter future for Kansas City.
