McCoy Site

During the Summer 2013, KCPS and the Blue Valley Neighborhood Association (BVNA) worked with 360 Architecture to develop a conceptual site plan through a series of public meetings with local stakeholders.

With support from the neighborhood, KCPS demolished McCoy in Fall 2013. In December 2016, KCPS transferred the site to the Parks & Recreation Department which has converted the site into a neighborhood park. At the request of neighborhood residents, KCPS preserved terra cotta from school building, which was used to construct entry signage for the park.
