At the Wednesday, March 9, 2022, Board of Education meeting, three KCPS employees were recognized as “Terrific Teammates” for their contributions to their school communities.

Current KCPS students will automatically “roll up” to the next grade, and no action is required from parents/guardians at this time. Please do not submit an application for new enrollment, as this will cause processing delays.

With guidance from our trusted community health partners, the Kansas City Public Schools Board of Directors and administration agreed on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, to end our mask mandate, effective immediately.

On Jan. 29, 2022, 42 students from East High School, Lincoln College Prep and Lincoln Middle School competed against students from four other districts and three charter schools in the 2022 PREP-KC Math Relays. KCPS won 41 of 98 awards!

Before and After Care

LINC

LINC provides affordable high quality before and after-school care for elementary school age students (grades K-6) in a safe, fun and caring environment that supports children's social, emotional and physical development.

The program encourages children’s growth through recreational and academic activities including homework help and a healthy snack.LINC before and after-school programs are fully-licensed and directed by LINC staff which are state-approved to operate the program. All LINC staff at school sites pass health and annual legal background checks and are trained in CPR.The program focuses on youth development, academic achievement and parental engagement.

Enrollment will be handled by LINC coordinators at each site. This service will be available at elementary schools from 7 a.m. until classes start and until 6 p.m. after classes during regular class day. LINC staff will follow all of the district’s COVID-19 response policies and procedures.
