• About Faxon Elementary

    school

At Faxon Elementary, we love our students! Our teachers, administrators and staff strive to provide the best culture and environment each day for every student. As one of KCPS’ neighborhood schools, we offer a variety of different programs and services to help both the student and his/her family.

The team at Faxon continually searches for innovative activities to engage our students. We have a strong literacy-focus and our DJ’s Discovery Den is an oasis where students have the opportunity to discover books and resources that best meet their interests.

During math lessons, our teachers tap into individual learning styles, demonstrating problem-solving approaches, helping to identify and solve problems by applying appropriate skills systematically.

Develop a life-long love of learning.
Every day, our goal is to provide a culture where students can develop a life-long love of learning. As a one-to-one school, every student at Faxon has his or her own laptop allowing teachers the opportunity to use innovative teaching and methods to bring lessons to life.

Activities to make school fun (and challenging).
Community partnerships are very important at Faxon. Organizations support our school by providing volunteers, who assist everyday with programs and activities to help make school both fun and challenging to all of our students.
