• Parents as Teachers

Parents are their children's first and most influential teachers. The early years of a child's life are critical for optimal development creating the foundation for success in school and in life.
Parents as teachers is a parenting education and family support program serving families throughout pregnancy until their child enters kindergarten.

Parents As Teachers provides home visits, screenings, and support that help build the protective factor found in strong families. The program aligns with the kindergarten through 12th-grade system to create a seamless education continuum.

This program is designed to help all children realize their full potential by supporting and engaging parents and caregivers.

Through personal visits, group connections, developmental screenings and networks of community referrals, parents learn about early childhood development and how to increase their child's school readiness and success.

Please contact the Parents as Teachers (PAT) supervisor at 418-5245 to learn how to apply for this program.
