Faxon Elementary is located in the heart of the urban core of Kansas City. Having a strong literacy focus, students at Faxon participate in reading, writing and talking about literature. Faxon started the 2014 school year, as a K-6 neighborhood school serving over 225 students. Faxon was recently awarded a grant through the Missouri Preschool Project and has just opened two preschool classrooms, enrolling 20 students each. Through some wonderful partnerships, Faxon now features a Success by Six Center, providing families educational resources to utilize with children ages birth to six.
