About John T. Hartman Elementary
John T. Hartman Elementary is best known for its outstanding culture. With a caring, nurturing staff, extensive community partnership and generous parent involvement, Hartman Elementary is built on the desire to develop the whole student.
The main focuses at Hartman are attendance, attitude and achievement. By providing a solid foundation, students quickly learn how to be competitive and grow naturally into their love of learning.
Our vision at John T. Harman Elementary School is to create a collaborative learning community that is caring, nurturing, respectful, and safe while passionately developing academic and social excellence for all. Missouri state standards are used as benchmarks to monitor and evaluate growth and achievement. Our collaborative community will fight passionately and gracefully to prepare life-long learners to compete in society.
Giving students a voice
Throughout the year, the principal hosts town hall meetings where students are empowered to raise their voice and become a part of the solution. School leadership understands that a well-cultivated school, along with those special teachers that inspire their students, will result in students who not only want to learn, but will naturally become top scholars.
Community helps make Hartman great
Hartman partners with community organizations Country Club Christian Church and Congregational Church to provide volunteers and additional support for students throughout the school year. Along with their partnership with community activist Mid-Town Kiwanis, Hartman Elementary offers students an incentive-based programs where great kids are recognized in their day-to-day activities.
