Congratulations are in order for Mr. Kevin Hogan! Last week, Mr. Hogan was randomly chosen to win a free two-year lease at Two Light Luxury Apartments as a part of the Kansas City Power & Light District partnership with KCPSEF.

Required Documents

K-12 Enrollment Documents

Students must be 5 years old on or before July 31

  1. Birth certificate
  2. Student's current immunization record
  3. Parent/guardian photo ID (proof of guardianship, if required)
  4. Previous school records – attendance, discipline, and grades
  5. Two proofs of residency (see list below)

 

Pre-K Enrollment Documents

Students must be 3 or 4 years old on or before July 31 for Pre-K

  1. Birth certificate
  2. Student's current immunization record
  3. Parent/guardian photo ID (proof of guardianship, if required)
  4. Two proofs of residency (see list below)
  5. Proof of household income:
    • Two current paystubs
    • Current TANF award letter
    • Current SSI verification
    • Unemployment letter
    • Current 1040A tax form with W-2's, (employer letter on company letterhead, notarized letter from employer)
    • Child support letter

 

Accepted Proof of Residency Documents

MUST be in the name of parent/guardian; otherwise, must complete Residency Affidavit (see below)
 
Copy of most recent utility bill of current address, dated within 30 days (gas, electric, or water); no final or disconnect notices.

AND a current copy of one of the following
 
  • Mortgage payment, deed of trust, or housing contract
  • Rental or lease agreement
  • Real estate property tax receipt (home)

residency affidavit

Required when a parent/guardian cannot provide the accepted proof of address in their name. This form must be completed by BOTH homeowner/leaseholder AND the parent/guardian. The form must be notarized by KCPS Admissions, and both persons must be present to complete. KCPS will provide a notary at no charge.

The homeowner/leaseholder must provide two items from List 1 in their name AND the parent/guardian must provide one item from List 2 in their name.

List 1 (Homeowner/Leaseholder)

Copy of most recent utility bill of current address, dated within 30 days (gas, electric, or water); no final or disconnect notices

AND a current copy of one of the following

  • Mortgage payment, deed of trust, or housing contract
  • Rental or lease agreement
  • Real estate property tax receipt (home)
     

List 2 (Parent/Guardian)

  • Current personal property tax receipt (auto)
  • Current paystub/paycheck
  • Current bank statement
  • Current social services, Social Security, or legal/government document such as TANF or SNAP
