KCPS Hosting Two 'School Board School' Sessions in December

The Kansas City Public Schools Board of Directors (school board) will be hosting two “School Board School” virtual sessions for anyone interested in school board service. These sessions will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, and 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5.

A Virtual Town Hall Discussion

Kansas City Public Schools hosted a virtual town hall to discuss challenges and solutions related to educational equity during the COVID-19 pandemic. A panel of leaders – including Superintendent Mark Bedell, Urban League of Greater Kansas City CEO Gwendolyn Grant, and Central High School senior Adriele Johnson – fielded questions from the audience and provided up-to-the-minute information about how KCPS is making preparations in the event this virus returns.
