KCPS students from Foreign Language Academy and Lincoln Middle School had a wonderful day at the KC Metro #3 All District Band rehearsal and concert on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022. Students played a commissioned work by composer Randall Standridge, who was also the clinician and conductor. This meant students were part of the world premiere of “Slava March” and will forever be associated with this work!

Congratulations to students Roberto Velazquez (7th grade, FLA), Bridget Gosnell (8th grade, LCPAMS) and Gabriel Ponzer (LCPAMS, 8th grade) for their selection to this prestigious audition band! They did a fantastic job and even did a little vivace encore before getting to take a photo with Mr. Standridge!
