Transition Plan and Resources for Longfellow and Troost Elementary Schools

School Tours March 3

Greetings Troost and Longfellow parents and guardians,

We have some important information regarding the closing of your child’s school. We understand this is a very uneasy time for everyone and as a partner in your child’s education, we want to be sure we are here to support you and keep you informed every step of the way. Next week we will have two events to assist you with choosing the right school for the 2023-2024 school year.

We have neighborhood school tours for TROOST FAMILIES coming up on Friday,  March 3. We will be touring  King Elementary, Banneker Elementary, Hartman Elementary, and Hale Cook Elementary.
We will meet at the Board of Education and ride on a bus to the schools.
From  9 am to 2:00 pm

All students must be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian, and adults 18 and older must bring ID upon check-in.

This is a great opportunity to see other schools in the area and learn more about the educational options available to your child.

We hope to see you there and look forward to a great day of exploring and learning!
