Congratulations are in order for Mr. Kevin Hogan! Last week, Mr. Hogan was randomly chosen to win a free two-year lease at Two Light Luxury Apartments as a part of the Kansas City Power & Light District partnership with KCPSEF.

With cold and flu season upon us, KCPS has many resources for keeping your family healthy this fall. Remember, if your child is ill, please do not send them to school.

Your opinion matters to us!

We're excited to announce our first Moving Forward Together public meeting! Join us on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the board room at the Board of Education (2901 Troost Ave.) for an informational session that will last about 60 minutes.

The Moving Forward Together Education and Engagement Framework is a critical initiative for KCPS, designed to support sustained, strategic, and intentional engagement with our students, families, staff, and community. This framework is a direct result of the feedback we received during the Blueprint 2030 Strategic Planning community engagement sessions. We're excited to take this next step together and continue to build strong relationships that will help our students achieve success.

During this first meeting, Dr. Collier will cover a range of topics, including an overview of the Blueprint 2030 Strategic Plan (briefly), an overview of the Moving Forward Together framework, an introduction to the MFT facilitator, a discussion of the school evaluation rubric, and an exploration of next steps.

We are inviting members of the public to register and attend, and express their interest in serving on or leading a committee, and be an integral part of shaping the future of KCPS.

We believe that everyone in the KCPS community has an important role to play in shaping the future of our schools. We're committed to working together, listening to one another, and moving forward with purpose and intention. We hope you'll join us for this important conversation, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts, ideas, and feedback. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of our students and families.
