What is KCPSfest?

The Kansas City Public Schools Education Foundation is partnering with public health providers to ensure that our students are ready to engage in learning when classes start on August 19. By pre-registering for this event, KCPS students will be able to get a backpack with school supplies free of charge. Immunizations, lead testing and other student health services will also be available on-site.

When is KCPSfest?

Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
At East High School (1924 Van Brunt Blvd. Kansas City, MO 64127)

Details about KCPSfest

  • KCPSfest: Drive-Thru Edition is for families with KCPS students only
  • Families must pre-register to participate
  • PPEs will be used and social-distancing guidelines followed by everyone who participates
  • A backpack with school supplies free-of-charge
  • Immunizations, lead testing and other student health services will also be provided on-site to KCPS students only
  • There are a limited number of timeslots available for the student health services and they will be reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

VOLUNTEER:
Community members can sign up to volunteer and support our KCPS families on the day of the event. Duties may include backpack and school supply setup, delivery of items to cars, crowd control, and assisting families in the community health zone. Sign up here: https://bit.ly/KCPSFest2024
