Expansion Info & Process
On October 25th, 2017, the KCPS administration made recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding expanding the Lincoln program by reopening Lincoln Middle for the 2019-20 school year. The goals of expansion include: alleviate overcrowding, focus on addressing middle school needs and prepare students for success at the high school, separate middle school and high school grades, enhance middle and high school programs, and provide greater access for qualified students/reduce wait lists. It is our hope that the School Board will vote on the recommendations at the November 1st Board Meeting. KCPS has received many phone calls and emails from stakeholders regarding how they can give additional feedback. Please see feedback opportunities below. Feel free to share this information with other parents, students, staff, or community members.
