Meals on the Bus
This KCPS student meal distribution program is being run by the Department of Child Nutrition Services in cooperation with the Transportation Department. The program is designed to help meet the nutritional needs of students during distance and virtual learning from home.
Starting on Jan. 19, 2021, these deliveries will be made on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Each delivery will include three meals for each child.
The CNS Department is also providing meals as part of its curbside pickup program from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays while schools are in session. This drive-thru option is available at J.A. Rogers Elementary School, Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School, Northeast Middle School and Central High School. Meals will be provided for all children age 18 and younger. Families can receive enough food for a household of up to six without any sign-ups or other paperwork.
