With cold and flu season upon us, KCPS has many resources for keeping your family healthy this fall. Remember, if your child is ill, please do not send them to school.

Success By Six

From the moment they’re born, children are wired to learn. Research shows that 90 percent of the brain’s growth occurs by age 6.

United Way Success By 6 Resource Centers aim to ensure every young child in our community is healthy, safe, nurtured and enters school ready to succeed.

Parents who have used the resource centers say they’ve learned how to:

  • Get respect from their child
  • Develop a discipline plan
  • Deal with a hyperactive child
  • Spend time one-on-one with their child
  • Be the best parent or caregiver they can be
