Pathways

KCPS is pleased to offers a full suite of career and technical educational pathways and programs for our students and families. Our Manual Career and Technical Center, (MCTC) and along with each of our the district’s high schools, offer specific career and college pathways for our students. We encourage our students and families are encouraged to explore these pathways and think about how these pathways opportunities can bolster our the student experience. KCPS, we produce students who are ready for college, internships, careers and life.

Pathways by Location

New Pipelines Coming Fall 2021

The Pipeline to Energy Careers initiative expands the pool of well-prepared students applying to electric utility line worker and technology careers. These students will represent each of the five high schools in KCPS through a partnership with Manual Career and Technical Center. 

The Pathways to Pharmacy Program is a six-month accelerated program that expands the pipeline of diverse, talented high school students who are well prepared for careers in pharmacy. This program provides qualified juniors and seniors from urban high schools the opportunity to take advanced pharmacy coursework, sit for the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) exam, credentialed through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), compete for admission into pre-pharmacy programs and obtain early employment opportunities in the field.
