African-Centered Studies - African-centered curriculum supports students in expanding their knowledge of the culture and history of people of African descent, and increases their general awareness and knowledge of their own unique history and culture.

College preparatory studies equip students with the academic skills, critical thinking abilities, and personal development needed to succeed in higher education. These programs emphasize rigorous coursework and college readiness.

The Fine and Performing Arts program offers students the opportunity to study creative disciplines like fashion design, graphic arts, video production, instrumental and vocal music, technical theater, and drama.

The International Baccalaureate Program (IB) is a challenging, globally focused program that nurtures well rounded students who are highly prepared for college.

Immersion is a method of instruction in which the regular school curriculum is taught in the target language. The foreign language is the vehicle for instruction; it is not the subject of instruction. Beginning in kindergarten, teachers and students communicate in the target foreign language. It quickly becomes second nature.

Locations: Foreign Language Academy (Full Immersion) and Carver Dual Language (Dual Language)

Montessori helps transform children through a series of developmental periods. The focus of Montessori education changes continuously with the needs and interests of each child. Learners are prepared for life in an educational and social environment where each child is challenged to become self-motivated learners by developing qualities of self-worth, order, concentration, coordination and independence.
