    Our students live in a digitally-enhanced world both in their learning spaces and their social spaces. Kids today have only known the world in which 24/7 access to people, ideas and information is possible with digital technologies. As parents and educators, our role is to help our students stay safe and behave responsibly in this digital world. Guiding students to understand the best ways to engage with others and ideas in a safe and ethical way is critical. In KCPS, we value the rich learning and communication experiences that technology brings to our students, classrooms, and family lives. We believe that our students must be taught to make good choices as they interact in these spaces for learning and for fun. We believe that with parents and guardians as our partners, we can help our students to gain skills, understanding, and dispositions that will enable them to be responsible and safe in these digital environments.
