Holliday Montessorians are stoked about having their very own Farmers Market to serve its families and neighboring community. That's right, through our partnership with Kansas City Community Gardens, Holliday Montessori is forecasting its own Farmers Market! Plans are being made - and before you know it, harvesting time will have arrived.
With that being said - a date has been scheduled to construct 11 beds in front of the apple trees that are already on our gorgeous campus.
Vision for HMS' Farmers Market
February 22nd - Students and volunteers will construct 11 beds.
March 20th - Students will plant seeds.
May - Students, staff and volunteers will harvest crops.
May - Spring Carnival and Health Fair - students & families will enjoy vegetables.
May - Students will plant seeds for fall harvesting.
June - HMS families and volunteers will be needed to water the crops.
July - HMS families and volunteers will be needed to water the crops.
Fall 2017 - HMS' Farmers Market will be open to stakeholders. Vendors will be invited to set up booths to sell goods.
