Lincoln College Preparatory Academy in Kansas City, Missouri, is a nationally recognized college-preparatory school with a rich history dating back to 1865, when it was founded to provide education for African American students in the post–Civil War era. Over time, it grew from its early beginnings in a church into a distinguished high school, later becoming a magnet institution and adopting its current name in 1986. Today, Lincoln Prep continues its legacy of excellence through rigorous academics, including the International Baccalaureate program, while fostering leadership, diversity, and a strong commitment to college readiness and community impact.
