A Note from Our Principal
Dear Northeast High School Families,
We hope this newsletter finds you well. As we move forward into the new month, we would like to remind you of some important information and updates.
School Hours and Attendance Policy
Our school day begins at 7:20 AM and ends at 2:20 PM. Please ensure that your student arrives on time. Students cannot enter the building after 8:30 AM without a parent or guardian physically present. This policy is in place to ensure the safety of our students and to reinforce the importance of punctuality and accountability.
Research shows that frequent absences and early dismissals can have damaging effects on a student's learning and overall academic performance. Chronic absenteeism can lead to lower academic achievement, disrupt learning for the entire class, and negatively impact social functioning. It is crucial for students to attend school regularly to maximize their learning opportunities and to build a strong foundation for future success.
