Northeast High School recently welcomed the iCare for Kids mobile vision clinic, thanks to Nurse Barry and a dedicated team of nurses.

The team traveled from classroom to classroom, providing on‑the‑spot vision screenings and offering free glasses to students who qualify based on household income guidelines.
The iCare for Kids vision program delivers comprehensive pediatric eye exams designed to detect common vision issues early, including myopia, amblyopia, and strabismus. Using child‑friendly, non‑invasive technology—such as digital photoscreening and rebound tonometry—the screenings are quick, painless, and suitable for students of all ages.
This initiative ensures that Northeast High School students receive essential vision care right where they learn, helping remove barriers that can impact academic success.
