KCPS will be sending three student athletes to the MSHSAA State Track Meet for Classes 1 through 3. The success of these student athletes reflects not only their individual effort but also the support of their coaches, teammates, and families.
Cherysh Barr – Central High School

Markquell Douglas – Central High School
9th Grade | 800M & 1600M
Kristopher Durant Ruthledge – Paseo High School
11th Grade | 100M & 200M
As these athletes prepare to take on the rest of the state, Kansas City Public Schools and KCPS Athletics could not be more proud of these student athletes and their achievements. Regardless of the outcome, the achievements of these athletes have already made a lasting impact.
State track will take place on May 22 and May 23 in Jefferson City, Missouri. State track for classes 4 & 5 will take place the following weekend.
