    About Summer School

    Kansas City Public Schools will host summer school at a number of elementary, middle, and high school buildings in the district as well as churches and community centers throughout the city. Summer school is open to all students residing in the Kansas City Metro area.

    When is Summer School?

    May 30-June 22 (some partner programs may run beyond June 22)

    Summer School Highlights

    • Increase focus on STEAM
    • Opportunities for high school students to earn original credit for a number of classes
    • Internship opportunities for high school students
    • CTE programs for middle school and high school students

    Will transportation be available?

    Transportation will be provided to all KCPS buildings. Parents are responsible for transporting students to and from community centers and church sites.

    Will before and after care be available?

    All KCPS elementary school programs will provide before and after care.
