    About Quest

    Quest is an innovative summer experience for students entering in grades K-12. Quest is designed to allow students to explore, create, and design their own learning through personalized learning experiences. Elementary and Middle school students will have opportunities to engage in a hands-on curriculum that challenges them to investigate, question, and discover the world around them

    Elementary

    Designing their own adventure, enabling them to explore interests and passions most meaningful to them. The quest will be so much fun they won’t even realize their a gaining relevant knowledge and skills when they attend these exciting courses.

    • Field experience created in conjunction with community partners.

    Middle

    Seventh and eighth grade students can personalize their summer journey by mapping their own route as they choose the courses. They can cover as much ground as they like by choosing from a wide variety of course tailored to spark their imaginations and challenge their intellect.

    • Blended Project Based Learning with mixed grade level courses.
    • Field experience created in conjunction with community partners.

    High

    Empowering students to choose the pace, place and path of their learning! Students in grades 9-12 can map their own route as they choose seated courses, online courses or both. Students can recover credit they missed throughout the school year or get ahead. With a large number of online classes students have even more flexibility! *Students can earn a maximum of 2 credits.

    More ways to personalize your experience:

    ELL Services: Students in grades K-12 who qualify for ELL summer support services will be enrolled in additional ELL classes or supports. To determine your child’s eligibility please contact the ELL department.

    Special Education: Student in grades preK-12 who qualify for summer support services through Special Education (ESY) will be enrolled in additional ESY classes or supports. To determine your child’s eligibility in ESY please contact your child’s special education teacher.

    Gifted Education: Eligible students may choose to participate in gifted education classes offered through Quest. For additional information or eligibility please contact your child’s gifted education teacher.

    Will before and aftercare be available?

    All KCPS elementary school programs will provide before and aftercare through LINC.
