Pizza parties and prizes! KCPS Loves to Read hosted its annual Read Across America contest in March. We're happy to celebrate our school's winners, and to know that the real prize is an up-and-coming generation of students who love to read!

Did you know that ALL KCPS students can get free breakfast and lunch at our Summer Academy sites? Children must be under 18 and eat the meal on-site, but they do not have to be registered for summer academy.

Thank you to the educators, families, and students involved in the KCPS early learning program! The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has designated the program as “Exhibiting High Quality," an honor signifying the highest quality Pre-K classrooms in the state. This would not be possible without the hard work and collaboration of our entire Pre-K community!

These awards of up to $6,000 to further their college and career goals would not be possible without the support of the College Access team, KCCAN, and KCPS staff.

In parternship with Awesome Ambitions, a group of rising KCPS students visited Alabama for spring break. They explored colleges and toured historic sites, including Kelly Ingram Park, Tuskegee University, and the Rosa Parks Museum.
